Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner Brother Mok Kar Leong<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I have known Candy for some time and clearly see her heart for God, which is reflected in her deep concern for the spiritual well-being of the brothers and sisters in Christ. On one hand, this demonstrates her commitment to fulfilling the Lord Jesus\u2019 command to \u201cLove the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.\u201d On the other hand, it also reveals her dedication to \u201cLove your neighbor as yourself.\u201d She has devoted herself to developing an assessment tool called the \u201cSpiritual Thermometer\u201d and established an organization of the same name. Through the two main axes of the SG Model, she assesses and helps brothers and sisters in Christ understand their \u201clevel of devotion to God\u201d and their \u201ccapacity for spiritual growth.\u201d This enables them to recognize and reflect on their spiritual condition, regularly examine, rethink, and realign themselves, with the hope of maintaining a close relationship with God and \u201cliving out God\u2019s will and the true self He originally created in this world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, I see that Candy\u2019s ministry aligns with the traditional Chinese medicine concept of \u201cpreventing illness before it occurs, preventing deterioration after illness has occurred, and preventing relapse after recovery.\u201d In our conversations, Candy\u2019s mention of the influence of the \u201cSpiritual Family of Origin\u201d left a particularly deep impression on me. This is similar to the concept of \u201cinnate constitution\u201d in traditional Chinese medicine, where the \u201cinnate\u201d constitutes the initial state, and the \u201cacquired\u201d nourishes and supplements it to achieve balance. What the \u201cSpiritual Thermometer\u201d emphasizes is the centrality of biblical teachings. Regardless of our initial environment and state when we first believed in the Lord, if we can consistently examine our relationship with Him, meditate on His words day and night, and frequently draw near to Him, we will be able to maintain an intimate relationship with the Lord. I believe this is the vision Candy had in mind when she created the \u201cSpiritual Thermometer.\u201d I look forward to collaborating with her in our respective roles as we walk the heavenly path together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
