Thank God! The ministry of “ Spiritual Thermometer, the Spiritual Guidance Model” is a means of increasing the dependence on the Holy Spirit in these extraordinary times for those who seek the truth, for those who are convinced of God's Word and are willing to carry it out, and for those who are in awe of the Lord. It gives us a guide to order our lives (Galatians 5:25) and to alert those who are preparing to meet Jesus Christ. We use the Word of God, especially the biblical accounts of people's lives, to examine the light of our personal growth in new life in Christ Jesus. In a society full of confusion and more virtual scenarios to come, we can grow in joy and peace through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, prudence and self-control, growth in the truth, vigilant prayer, and diligent service.
When the COVID-19 pneumonia plague spread around the world, temperature measurements and tests were used as preliminary assessments to prevent infection, so that people would be alert and less likely to be infected.
Those who believe in Jesus and want to have eternal life want to understand God's will and want God's will to be done through them on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Often, however, things are not handled or decided as they should be. Whether it is a matter of personal desire or God's will, it is always difficult to understand, and people may even blame others or leave the matter unsettled. If we can use the Bible to examine the spiritual state of light, will it make us more alert?
Among the people recorded in the Bible, why was Abraham, who was called the father of faith, praised by the angels for being a God-fearing man after he had finished the preparation for the offering of Isaac (Genesis 22:12)? The change in the house of King David had been in the making for a long time. Did Solomon's search for wisdom and his marital diplomacy have anything to do with the division of the kingdom of David into two?
“There is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). The “Spiritual Thermometer，the Spiritual Guidance Model” can help us to examine our spiritual landscape through the lives of familiar biblical characters, so that we can learn from history and from the past to prepare for our future. The Holy Spirit and Bible Words can awaken our true selves, thereby we can live abundantly through the fruits of the Spirit, and we can enter abundantly into the Kingdom of God (2 Peter 1:11).

In the era of the explosion of human knowledge, the use of technology in life has brought convenience and enjoyment to a certain extent, it will make people think about some situations. Anyone who has ever believed in Jesus or is willing to believe in Him knows that life is temporary and that the body is perishable. In addition to life, there will be eternal life. The “human body” will perish, but the “spirit” of man can live forever, and the eternal Creator will live forever. Unfortunately, the information and the improvement of life that is widely desired by the world, caused by the confusion of man, has led to the prevalence of human nature (both rational and emotional), while the concern and cultivation of the spiritual nature has been neglected. Because of the neglect of salvation, man's sin cannot be escaped without God's grace. Can one escape the consequences of neglecting spiritual “grace”?
Why do people who follow Jesus have doubts? Some people have stopped believing in Jesus and have chosen to leave the team and not follow Him anymore. For example, King Saul in the Old Testament was chosen by the Lord, and Judas in the New Testament was called by Jesus, and it is sad to see what happened to them. According to John 6:60,
63 and 66[1], the disciples who had followed Jesus, who had seen and tasted the five loaves and two fishes with their own eyes and mouths, did not understand the preaching of Jesus and no longer sought and pursued to know Him, but withdrew from walking with Him. Jesus has a life and He has been a leader in the way of eternal life. That means that those who believe in Jesus and do not follow Him, they still have a life, but they are not on the path to eternal life, do they have eternal life?
Unbelievers have a human nature, but believers have a spiritual nature. God gives us new life from the death of our trespasses (Ephesians 2:5[2], 2 Corinthians 5:17[3]). There are both good and bad people who take care of their human nature. The man who neglects his spiritual nature and has no new life, has his soul been awakened? Is he still walking the path of life, and is it becoming clearer and clearer? (Proverbs 4:18)[4] He who has only life dies according to his destiny (Hebrews 9:27)[5]. Is the man who says he knows and wants eternal life, but walks in the way of life and neglects the way of eternal life, a righteous man? Is he a righteous man? Is he a man who walks in the path of life and ignores the path of eternal life? He is like a man who ignores his body temperature in life. What is the result of constantly having a high fever or a low temperature? Spiritual Thermometer, SG Model is a tool that can assist or enhance the living person who has the “Spirit” (Genesis 2:7)[6] to examine his spiritual state, so that he will not fall down due to the confusion of the evil one, neglecting the stagnation or weakness of his spiritual life, refusing to or being unable to return to God, repenting and treading on the path of everlasting life again.

No Immunity Without Intimacy in Life
Dr. Candy Yeung , guided by God, has been very dedicated and hardworking in creating and completing the Spiritual Guidance Model (Spiritual Thermometer), which is a tool for testing spiritual life and provides solutions to help believers to re-build their relationship with God from the perspective of their faith, and then to identify their own spiritual stage and state of spirituality. Following the path of progress continue to build up and strengthen their spiritual awareness and discernment, so that as they grow closer to God, their spiritual life will be renewed and flourish, and they will be blessed to live with the grace of God. Continuing to follow the path and build and strengthen one's spiritual awareness and discernment, one's spiritual life is renewed and grows. As one grows closer and closer to God, and one is blessed to live a new life as a child of God. It is like being a spiritual doctor, providing a one-stop service from diagnosing the ‘disease’ to healing the ‘patient’ and helping the person to grow.
The results of these endeavours are shown in the second book, and the most remarkable breakthrough is the inclusion of “Intimacy” in the first chapter. This may seem like a cliché, but it is the key to the most remarkable breakthrough in spiritual life. A life without intimacy has no immunity. Such a life is weak. Intimacy with God is the foundation of all intimate relationships. The title of the second book “Intimate or Not? My Relationship with God”, highlights the key point and is the finishing touch. Intimacy is a driving force in interpersonal or intrapersonal relationships. If there is no intimacy between friends, they will not know who to talk to when they are in trouble. If a husband and wife don't have an intimate relationship, it will lead to very big problems. Most importantly, without an intimate relationship between man and God, all other intimate relationships will have problems. Intimacy is an important source of renewal for our whole life. As long as we hold on to this intimate relationship with God, life will never be the same. Our Heavenly Father will not give up on us, and we can restore our intimacy with Him if we want to. The spiritual thermometer helps us to build up our relationship with God one step at a time, or even closer to Him, and to see clearly what is wrong in our lives.
I thank God for the privilege of serving as a honorary consultant of the Spiritual Guidance Model organization, working with Candy and witnessing the birth, growth and development of the ministry. Pray for God's grace to help Dr Yeung to use the spiritual guidance model that You have given her, so that Your children can know You, be close to You, live out Your will, and “glorify You and enjoy You all their lives”! Amen!

As one of Candy's teachers at Alliance Bible Seminary and the Directors of The Spiritual Guidance Model Limited over the past 3 years, I witnessed her dedication to the “Spiritual Thermometer (Spiritual Guidance (SG) Model)” ministry, serving many brothers and sisters in the church, including pastors and deacons. “The SG Model is a tool and method for measuring and analyzing spiritual conditions. I hope that the Spiritual Thermometer/ SG model ministry will inspire people to study the Bible in depth. Candy's SG Model quotes a lot of Bible verses，and is not dominated by human thoughts. When people realize their spiritual state, they should return to God and resume the daily practice of praying and reading the Bible, so that they can understand the Bible correctly and systematically. I hope that believers will have regular spiritual check-ups, so that problems can be detected as early as possible, and the right medication can be prescribed to minimize the bad effects and to move towards the restoration of a normal spiritual life.
